IAWA - Daytona Beach, FL
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University | January 24, 2020
Karvi Group was proud to lead the organization of the International Aviation Womens Association’s (IAWA) inaugural Aerospace & Defense Leadership Forum. This one-day conference brought together executives and leaders from across the aerospace and aviation industry to discuss the strategic topic of gender balance, diversity and inclusivity. Timing of this event coincided with the release of the groundbreaking new (2019) Korn Ferry study ‘Soaring Through the Glass Ceiling’, bringing data-driven information to management to help understand and lead change in the strengthening and sustainment of their workforce.
This topic remains a key focus across the industry, as the natural demographics of the retiring baby-boomer aged workforce, a change in gender balance of students graduating from universities, and a gap in early-age awareness to this exceptional STEM-related high-tech industry. With the ever-increasing competition for talent, new thinking is a critical component of strategy.
Keynote speakers included:
Ms. Lisa Hershman, Chief Management Officer, US Department of Defense, and Ms. Stephanie Hill, Senior Vice President, Business Enterprise Transformation, Lockheed Martin Corporation.
